This baby bunny hopped over to me while I was having a coffee and a cigar on my back porch. It was so little!
I’m guessing it lives under my neighbor’s porch, as they have a small hole under the cement.

Coffee and cigar sounds like a combo I need to try.

The first time I had them together, the skies opened up, light poured down and I could hear angels singing. Now I almost always have coffee with a stick, unless I have beer instead which is also a good combo.

Beer is good.
I also enjoy rum or whisky, but I always finish the liquor before I finish the cigar and then I’m left smoking a cigar without a drink.

W e’ve got a bunch of bunnies this year - I think we’ve got a family in our yard somewhere. Pretty unusual - the usually get driven off by the cats and raccoons .

There’s always been bunnies here. Two years ago there were way too many of them, but now it's back to normal. I've seen more foxes now.

Over the last 5 years the bunny population has exploded in my area. I think global warming in combination with a lack of coyotes and horny bunnies are to blame.

I haven't seen many coyotes in the area where I live, but I know they exist. Foxes, on the other hand, there's a bunch. Once while I was walking Sophie, a fox ran by with a dead rabbit in its mouth. I'm glad she didn't see it or she would have tried to go after it. It startled the hell out of me, though.

I walked in between a baby bunny and its mother when I was doing a delivery last week and I felt bad because the baby was clearly terrified and froze on the spot.

Where I am the coyotes are probably the most common predator. I’ve seen foxes with them too and my dogs have caught young ones. Heck, I even saw a barn owl take one out one night. It really must be true that they reproduce like crazy because for as many as the predators get there are still plenty around. Those little ones are cute though. Usually they hide under concrete when they can. And they will just come right up to you because they havent learned to be scared yet. I’ve had to move little ones that size to keep the dogs from getting them. All dogs seem to have an instinct to chase rabbits. Mine will pull like crazy if they even sniff one. Which is a lot.

Do you buy booze in airplane bottles or something? You can refill your glass, you know.

Usually by the time I’m having a cigar I’m on my third or fourth drink for the night. At that point, i f I were to do more than say a finger of liquor, it'd put me past the amount of alcohol I'm comfortable consuming in one sitting.

When I lived in Colorado, every year there would be 3 or 4 that would fall down into the window well in the basement. I’m surprised I never found any dead ones because it could be a week at times between trips to th e basement. They were easy to get out, they’d just freeze and let you pick them up.
One year I watched a mother take her dead litter out of their burrough in the back yard , one by one. That was sad.
